Adult & Family Programs: Summer Recipes

Updated: Jun 7, 2024

Soon the kids will be out of school for summer and parents and caregivers will all be looking for easy meals and snacks that let everyone enjoy a more relaxed pace.

Here are some tips from our Adult & Family Programs team at The North Grove!

In the summer we want to plan meals and snacks that:

  • Don’t require a lot of time cooking in the oven

    • Think tortilla rollups, BBQ’s, and pasta.

  • Can be consumed on the go

    • Snack and Meals to-go are great for picnics at the park, day trips and evenings when it’s just too nice to stay inside. We suggest sandwiches, fruit, and vegetables.

  • Help cool you down

    • Hot days are great for enjoying cool treats. Smoothies, yogurt pops, and fruit salad are a wonderful way to enjoy tasty and nutritious treats!

  • Are in season

    • Fruit such as watermelon and strawberries are easy to prepare and lend themselves to a variety of treats. The possibilities are endless.
